March. Brackets. Family pride.
Every March, the McGanns fill out their brackets and spend the next three weeks either gloating or making excuses. Pure chaos, pure fun — and someone always picks the wrong Cinderella.
The Rules
Each family member submits one bracket before the NCAA tournament begins.
Standard bracket scoring applies: 1pt Round 1, 2pt Round 2, 4pt Sweet 16, 8pt Elite 8, 16pt Final Four, 32pt Championship.
No bracket changes are allowed after the first game tips off — no exceptions.
Bonus points may be awarded for correct upsets seeded 10 or higher.
The highest total score at the end of the tournament wins.
Trash talk is not only allowed — it is mandatory and encouraged at all times.
